Southern California, 2003 - Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach

It's no surprise that Huntington Beach is known as "Surf City" and is home to the International Surfing Museum.   These photos were taken from the pier that is adjacent to downtown Huntington Beach.   It stretches 1850 feet out into the Pacific Ocean.  You have to walk farther than the length of six football fields to get a really good chocolate shake at the end of the pier, but it's worth it .... and all the calories melt off during the walk back to the starting point.   That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

There is a surfer riding a wave in this picture...
