Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia - Sept. 11, 2002

As happened during a 1999 visit to Williamsburg,
Bruton Parish Church was of special significance,
but this time for a different reason.

At noon, the Visitors Center and all the exhibits
in Colonial Williamsburg were closed temporarily,
so that workers could join visitors and area residents
for a short service in the church yard, in commemoration of
September 11, 2001.

Posts at the corners of the platform hold sprigs of
Rosemary, a symbol of remembrance.
