Final thoughts and photos --
Locating a successful meal -- (one requiring no effort on our part) -- our last day at the lake was not the challenge
of finding one the evening of the storm. Had we wanted to climb a couple of fences en route, we could have walked
from our cabin to this lakeside dining destination in five minutes or less. We decided to drive there.
It was all good ... the food, the weather, the scenery. We were glad to take this, and not the storm, back home with us as one of our final memories of the lake in 2010.
Remember little cousin from the old photo on page one? She was anxious to hear all about our trip, and has been dropping
hints that there be ought to be another revisit to the lake (maybe next year?) that will include her. I'm not ruling
that out, so I have started a list of things I'd choose to do differently next time, including taking along extra flashlight
batteries, pre-sliced summer sausage, and some Dad's Old Fashioned Root Beer.
Easy livin' at the lake used to mean carefree days filled with lots of activity. I remember them well, and I
remember them happily. It was a different kind of easy livin' during our days at the lake this year. Each
kind of easy livin' was perfect for its time.
